In our recent December, 2014 trip we took a one day detour to an organic farm for a beautiful lunch as well as trip to Cuba’s famed Tobacco fields in the Pinar del Rio region in Cuba. The farmers love to explain how the growing process works. This particular  field is also family owned and operated so we discuss their business with them and they teach our traveler’s about how the leaves become cigars after they are gathered from the field. This western province of Cuba is yet another untouched gem waiting to be discovered.
