Our 4-day tour allows you run briskly while exploring Havana at a pace that is fast enough to satisfy your wanderlust without producing that heavy, tired feeling. And although you won’t be in Cuba long, you’ll leave with the runner’s high and a deep sense of satisfaction! Highlights include encounters with Havana’s up-and-coming artists, exclusive dance performances, and nightly outings to see some of Cuba’s finest jazz, salsa bands and son bands in the style of the Buena Vista Social Club. Sample Itinerary

DAY 1 United States-Havana / Friday, November 16, 2018

  • Check in for ​flight from departure city
  • Arrive at Havana’s Jose Marti International Airport
  • Lunch at Mediterraneo paladar (if flight arrives before noon)
  • Pick up luggage and head to lodging for check in and orientation
  • Visit the famed Hotel Nacional
  • Experience a ride in a classic convertible car around Havana City
  • Nighttime suggestion: Enjoy Buena Vista Social Club Show

DAY 2 Havana / Saturday, November 17, 2018

  • RUNNERS: Pick up race pack – time/location TBA
  • Visit Old Havana and learn about Havana’s world-renowned UNESCO heritage designated architecture
  • Lunch at El del Frente paladar
  • Experience a private concert with a professional music group
  • Visit the home of Ernest Hemingway, “Finca la Vigia”
  • Nighttime suggestion: Enjoy Tropicana Cabaret Cuban Show

DAY 3 Havana Sunday, November 18, 2018

  • Early transfer to Old Havana to watch the Havana Marathon!!!
    • Spectators – 8am is the official start time
    • Runners – Only 5,000 places, the start time for first corral is 8am.
  • After the Marathon:
    • Spectators:  After the marathon – Visit the Fine Arts Museum
    • Runners: After the marathon, runner awards and medals.  Back to hotel to freshen up and rest before lunch
  • Lunch at Cha Cha Cha Paladar
  • Experience a Jazz concert with young jazz award winner
  • Visit Fusterlandia and meet the people in the neighborhood of Jaimanitas and discuss this amazing community project
  • Nighttime suggestion: Visit the Cuban Art Factory (FAC)

DAY 4  Havana-USA / Monday, November 19, 2018

  • Visit San José Craft Market for final shopping
  • Head to the airport to check in
  • Adios Cuba!

A Paladar is a privately owned restaurant, as opposed to regular restaurants that are owned and operated by the Cuban government. Palada-res compete with each other and most of them are quite beautiful and creative with great food and flare. Eating at paladares also helps encourage private enterprise in Cuba. We include as many paladares as possible in our program to help local business and to provide you with the best Cuban restaurant experience.
