Mario was born in the Center of Havana. He spent his whole childhood in Old Havana enjoying its old, colorful, crowded and magical aura. Ever since Mario was a child he was always very interested in Cuban History, Architecture, Culture and Society. When he finished high school he studied Computer Sciences for three years and later entered the University of Havana, studying Tourism.
He had always liked to exchange, discover and learn about different cultures and countries. He found that going into the Tourism industry was a perfect match for his interests and talents!
He ascended quickly in college and took leadership roles such as being a mentor to younger college students, which helped him develop strong social skills. Having to support his family, he started to work at one of the best private restaurants in Havana, San Cristobal, where he had the chance to develop his language skills and to meet important artists, musicians, politicians, personalities and American travel agency presidents. He then started to work as tour-guide for some of those agencies and, with time and great client reviews about his service, he became a top tour guide and has led many groups of travelers over the past 3 years.
